Introduction
The Teslemetry Homebridge plugin is a supported release (1.0.0).
Overview
The Teslemetry Homebridge plugin allows you to control your Tesla vehicles and Powerwall energy systems through Apple HomeKit. This enables Siri voice control, HomeKit automations, and integration with other HomeKit devices.
Upgrading from the legacy plugin
The legacy plugin registered 14 vehicle services and 7 energy services. This release registers 11 vehicle services and 6 energy services, and is subType-aware for services that previously collided under a shared HomeKit service type. If you're upgrading from the legacy homebridge-teslemetry 0.4.x package, expect some HomeKit accessories/tiles to disappear, merge, or need re-pairing in the Home app after upgrade — back up your Home app configuration first, and be prepared to re-add any automations that reference the affected accessories.
Features
- Real-time streaming support for instant vehicle status updates. Energy site data combines streaming updates with periodic REST polling, since site settings change less frequently.
- Vehicle and energy site support
- Native HomeKit accessories for seamless integration
- Automatic device discovery from your Teslemetry account
Installation
Install the plugin through the Homebridge UI or via command line:
